Your shiny [e/c] eyes met the steel-like eyes of Corporal Levi.

As surprised as you were to see him in front of your door you rubbed your eyes confused, and then stared at him again. “Huh?”

Levi’s eyes were fixated on yours and the never leaving impassive look on his face started to unnerve you. You shifted your weight from one foot to the other, fidgeting with the hem of your shirt you wore as you started to nibble on your bottom lip.

“The fuck do you think you’re doing here, brat? Get your shit together and start cleaning the goddamn kitchen.” His eyes slightly narrowed as you didn’t move and just kept staring at him in bewilderment.

“I-I’m sorry, sir. I’ll get right to it.” You said as you heard a low growl form in the Corporals throat, shut the door right in his face and hurried through your room to get fully dressed.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck. Why always me.” You murmured to yourself as you put on your boots, finally ready to go and do your chores.

You rushed over to the door, opening it once again, and bumped right into a firm, bulky chest. As you lifted your head upwards to see who was in your way a small blush crept on your cheek.

“Hey, [F/N]. I always knew you had a thing for me, doesn’t mean though you have to attack me like this.” A grin formed on Reiner’s lips as he spoke and bent slightly forward, his face only inches away from yours.

The blush on your face only darkened at the closeness, causing you to hiccup and Reiner to chuckle.
He grabbed your hand, leading you away from your room and towards the kitchen, leaving you to assume that you had to clean the kitchen with him.

Reiner was taking huge steps as you were walking through the hallway, and under no circumstances you wanted to stumble over your own feet so you had to move your legs quicker than you usually did.

As you passed Armin and Eren on your way, you shot them a pleading look to stop Reiner from moving in such an inhuman pace, but Eren was only willing to chuckle and wink at you.

You glared at him, cursing him internally for not helping you and focused back on not stumbling as you had to follow the tall blonde in front of you.

As you reached your destination, according to the short Corporal a –in complete dust covered kitchen-, you had started panting and your abductor had let go of your hand. Finally.

Much to your surprise you found Jean in the dining hall, already armed with some sort of feather duster, as he tried desperately to reach the ceiling to remove a small spider web.

A soft giggle escaped your chapped lips as you watched him stretching his arms and getting on his tip toes, only to almost fall face forward onto the wooden floor.

Jean turned his head as he heard your voice, his gaze meeting yours just for a split second before he lost his balance and now greeted the bottom with a loud thump.

Reiner who stood beside you, burst out in laughter at the sight of Jean’s fall. The nice guy he was though he walked over to him and helped him to get back on his feet, patting his back a little too strongly, sending Jean to stumble all over again.

Little did you know that Jean was glancing sadly at your form as you turned around on your heels and walked over to the opposite side of the room to start to clean up the mess the cadets had left this morning.

To you it seemed like the time didn’t pass at all, letting you sigh every now and then. You also didn’t really want to engage in the conversation that was going on between Jean and Reiner so you kept quiet in your corner of the kitchen.

You still hadn’t really apologized to Jean for your behavior the night before you joined the Scouting Legion and it bothered you. But you also didn’t want to approach him with this as long as Reiner was around. Knowing him it would only cause trouble.

“Oi, [L/N]” you heard a male voice, you knew too well, call your name. Your head instantly perked up at the sound of it, a blush once again creeping on your features as you spotted Jean walking towards you.

“We’re done over there. Need any help?”

You shook your head slightly, dropping your gaze to the floor as you didn’t want to look into his dull amber eyes.

“No. I’m done as well.”

You swallowed thickly as you tried to find the right words. “J-Jean.. I..”

But you got cut off by the loud chattering of the other cadets that now started to fill up the room in the dining hall.

Before you could say another word to the young man in front of you he waved his hand and left you alone in the now crowded room, making his way out of the hall.

You exactly knew, if you didn’t follow him right away you’d never get over your pride and let him know how you truly felt. After all, you didn’t want him to suffer alone anymore.

“[F/N]!” Armin was shouting your name, but you pretended you didn’t hear him, moving quickly past the people that roamed around the entrance of the dining hall, trying to get out of here as fast as possible so you could catch up to Jean.

“Horseface!”

Your eyes widened in surprise as you heard the strength of your voice as you called out his most hated nickname. You had spotted him in the empty hallway before his room and he stopped in his movement as he heard and turned around to face you.

An urge in your gut you had never experienced before made you run towards him, almost tackling him off his feet as your arms wrapped around his body, hugging him tightly to you. You buried your face in his chest, inhaling his scent deeply.

He wrapped his arms around your small frame, looking down to you in confusion. “[F/N]? Are you okay?” His voice was a mere whisper that barely reached your ears.

As he didn’t get a reply from you he tightened his grip around you, placing his chin on top of your head and closed his eyes
.
“I-I’m sorry, horseface” you uttered in his chest, your body slightly shaking at the quiet sobs that now left your lips. The tears that pooled in the corner of your eyes found their way down your cheeks and dropped onto Jeans shirt.

“I didn’t realize… I was so full of self-pity..I just.. I’m so sorry..”

Jean didn’t say anything, he just stood there with you in his arms and his eyes were still closed as he let out a shaky breath.

“Stop crying, idiot.”

Your digits were digging into Jeans shirt at his words and only caused you to sob some more. He however slowly tried to push you slightly backwards so he could look at you.

A small smile sneaked on his lips as he brushed away the tears that fell from your cheeks with his thumb and he then leaned forward to press a faint kiss on forehead before putting a strand of your [h/c] hair behind your ear.

And that’s when you knew, you didn’t have to cope with your loss alone anymore. You had someone by your side.
I know it's been a week since I posted part one and I'm sorry it took me so long to get to part two.
And honestly, this isn't even good. I'll have to edit this once I get the time and motivation to do so but I'm posting it anyway to get it done and whatsoever. Sigh.

I might as well completely re-do it once I've dealt with the family issue that occurred this weekend and that keeps my mind busy. Oh well.
